Storms: International Best Track Archive for Climate Stewardship (IBTrACS) v04r01, NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, public domain. Knapp, K. R. et al. (2010), Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 91, 363–376. Every hurricane and typhoon in the game is a real track from 1980–2024, replayed on the game clock.
